Mouthful of Millthorpe event during Orange Food Festival | Central Western Daily

news, local-news,

The Millthorpe Wine Collective, a collaboration between Angullong, Slow Wine Co and Tamburlaine Organic Wines have launched their first official event, a Mouthful of Millthorpe. Over three sessions on the last weekend of the Orange Food Festival, the Mouthful of Millthorpe is a moving feast through the village with sojourns at each cellar door for a gourmet food and wine pairing incorporating local produce. The event is all downhill too starting at Angullong Wines, followed by a slow march down to Slow Wine Co before a wander around to Tamburlaine on Pym Street. There will be an hour at each location with food provided from Tonic, Millthorpe Providore, Slow Wine Co and The Old Mill Cafe. “The Mouthful is just the beginning of our collaborative efforts,” said Angullong Wines’ Manager, Heidi Crossing. “Each winery brings a unique approach and variety to wine and we’re thrilled to be sharing our stories together.” For the newest cellar door in the village, Tamburlaine, the collective and the development of the Mouthful was a no-brainer said Cellar Door manager Phoenix Kamsteeg. “Forming a working relationship between the three cellar doors was a no-brainer to us when we first opened,” she said. “The Collective evolved organically from our joint enthusiasm to work together on projects that promote Millthorpe to a broader audience.” Bus pick up and drop off point is at the Orange Visitors Information Centre for the first two sessions, and Blayney Information Centre for the third session.
