That sounds like a Stagecoach lineup, right? While I think I’ve seen those artists perform out in Indio over the years, they’re actually all cast members of “A Nashville Christmas Carol,” which premieres on the Hallmark Channel this weekend.

Here’s the thing — I LOVE Hallmark Christmas movies. I know they’re formulaic. I know they’re cheesy. I know they never represent journalists in any kind of realistic manner. But I can always count on them to have a happy ending. And in this dumpster fire of a year, we all need a little happiness.

Speaking of Hallmark Channel movies, did you know Gwen Stefani is performing the channel’s holiday theme song this year? That means I’m going to hear it approximately 1,438 times between now and Dec. 25.

And since we’re getting into the spirit of the season, you should know that we’re launching Holidays (and Nights), a new newsletter that will make your inbox merry with things to do in-person and online this holiday season. Sign up!

They get around

The Beach Boys (the Mike Love version, no Brian Wilson here) will perform not terribly far from the beach at an afternoon drive-in show in Anaheim. The show is Dec. 13, so “Little Saint Nick” better be on the set list. And since it’s Southern California, maybe John Stamos will make an appearance.

Check it out on Apple podcasts and Spotify.

A Christmas song

Remember when Gwen Stefani singing a Christmas song meant No Doubt covering the Vandals’ “Oi to the World”? Not only has Stefani released a Christmas album in recent years, her song “Here This Christmas” is going to get a lot of play on the Hallmark Channel this year.
